Our very own Jennifer Jimenez is a veteran in the recording studio. She joined the HIMM family at the end of 2016 to pursue her music dreams.
“Music is the essence of my life. In any situation—good or bad—music is there. It’s what has helped me get through life.”
Her genre? Contemporary Christian. At just 17 years old, she wrote, recorded, and released her full-length debut album RELENTLESS in March of this year. Jennifer wrote eight original songs for the album and worked with our lead producer, GRAMMY® Award winner and Latin GRAMMY® Award nominee Lannie Battistini. Oh, and did I mention her album and original song “HE IS HERE” also made it to the 61st Annual GRAMMY® ballot for a nomination consideration? Yeah, that happened too. Can you tell we enjoy bragging about our artists?
We’re proud of her, of course, but she doesn’t do all of this for the recognition. We talked with her about what motivates her to record, and she responded with grace and an answer we should’ve saw coming: “My Lord,” she said.
“I’ve always loved writing music, and singing for Him. I’m sharing my calling with the world because He is the one who gave this music to me in the first place.”
Jennifer recorded RELENTLESS as a reflection of this love and gratitude for her Lord as well as her journey with her Christian beliefs. After debuting #10 on iTunes Christian/Gospel chart on release day, she planned and performed a CD Release Concert at ARISE Assembly of God in Brandon to a full crowd. In between belting riffs and harmonizing with her singers, she’d offer words of inspiration, gathered from her own trials and tribulations, that espoused peace, forgiveness and love to the families who attended that night.
Right now, Jennifer’s recording the Spanish version of RELENTLESS to be released in 2019. She’s already preparing for her third album, writing songs and aiming for a more spanglish twist to her unmatched soul/pop sound.

There’s no slowing her down. Jennifer’s career in music is just blooming, and we’re so excited to see her grow into a seasoned musician. Way to go, Jen J!
